Who would have thought that a musician such as John Mayer would put on a FREE concert. Well I'm happy that he did. It was a great show.
It all happened on September 16th, 2006. Leaving the frosh picnic at Center Island at 3ish when the show started at 4, I thought that I would be lucky to be standing near the doors of the Eaton Center. We got to Dundas Square at 3:45, and to my surprise, we managed to sneak ourselves to the fourth row! Lauren had the best view being in the VIP section, but I was fairly proud of Kaitlyn and I getting that close.
i enjoyed John's music to some extent before the show, but really didn't know all that much. I was just excited about going to a free concert. But listening to that man play his guitar... I fell in love (no need to worry though Chris). What an incredible guitar player he is, and not to forget to mention that the rest of his band is so tight. I now hold a new appreciation and love for his music. To be honest with you, I've been listening to his Try CD over and over and over again this week. Maybe I'll get sick of it eventually, but right now I'm loving it.
So to all of those who havn't given him a chance, give his a listen. You'll be happy you did.
